Embroidery Magazine

Embroidery Magazine from the Embroiders Guild is one of those pricey, but almost always worth it, purchases that I have just decided I need to take out a subscription to. The last copy I picked up was from Craft in the Bay a gallery/shop in the recently developed Cardiff Bay, but normally i've found it hard to track down copies. On a whim today I checked out the website to see how much subscriptions cost and was delighted to see this:

Jenny Hart is featured in the current issue! Jenny Hart showed in the gallery, along with a collection of other textiles based artists, way back in Jan 2005. 'Stitch or Swallow' is still one of my favourite shows that I curated, and it's always really exciting to see people who were part of that go on to bigger and better things. Obviously Jenny was already well on her way to world fame before I asked her to show, but still, I feel proud to see people whose work i've helped hang get features in lovely magazines.

Hi there - oooh the embroiders guild magazine looks gorgeous, but I have just got subscriptions to craft magazine and selvedge - a pricey lot the both of them! I wish I live in a seaside town - nottingham is not exactly a 'holicay town'! I miss the scottish coast where I am from.
