Hmmm six random things eh? I've been trying to think of something new to tell you all and no sooner to I start to write this every idea I had goes out my head.

1. I have a huge crush on a comic book character (a 'prize' for guessing who it is*)

2. I secretly believe that one day someone will come to visit me in my house and be so impressed by my taste in art/music/books/plastic deer that they will fall head over heels in love with me (and because they will have such great taste I'll do the same for them)

3. I am deeply jealous my friends who have been brave enough to start again and move to live in remote/off the grid/other side of the world places

4. I day dream about living in a static caravan, ever since I helped my sister deliver catalogues to a static park once and saw how nice they were inside

5. I'm 35 and can't drive- I sometimes wonder if i'll ever get round to learning, and hate the fact that some of my 'remote living' dreams are hampered by the fact I can't drive.

6. I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this year for the first time ever and aim to write a novel in November, despite the fact that i've no idea what to write about, no experience of writing a novel and no track record of being able to stick at anything longer than about ten days.

This is...the contents of my bag

I don't have a 'handbag' as such, more a collection of bags that I cart stuff around in. Today my bag contains: 5 seashells, 1 bus ticket, 1 wallet (from Queen Bee), 1 gas meter box key and 1 near antique mobile phone. This weeks 'This is' was chosen by Sharon, who says she is a nosey bugger and wanted to see if other people cart around as much in their bags as she does- I wonder what she makes of mine?

I was up late last night compiling a list in my head, which of course i've now forgot, so here goes with what I can remember:

1. I used to keep stick insects, when I moved to Southampton to go to University I took them with me. Some of them escaped and colonised the house I was living in, I would go round picking them up, hoping my flat mates didn't discover their existence.

2. I have a phobia of custard and mashed potato. I can't explain it other than I think the roots of it lay in1970s school dinners.

3. All the men i'd like to hook up with are either fictitious, horrible, or comedians. My number one love interest at the moment is Howard Moon (from The Mighty Boosh), followed by Wolverine. I am also 'in love' with Bernard Black (from Black Books) and Vincent Gallo.

4. I secretly really want to be a stand up comedian. My plan fails because I hate comedy clubs as I fear audience participation. I plan on going direct to radio, followed by a series on BBC3.

5. I have a crush on a man I saw on tv once. He counts dormice for a living and has lovely grubby thumbs and a nice woolly jumper. This is how my crushes often pan out.

7 Random facts /habits about yourself.

1. I prefer The Shangri-Las to either The Beatles or the The Stones
2. I have an art degree already, but am currently taking an art foundation course (the prequel to a degree) for reasons that are still a little unclear to myself.
3. Most of the shows I curated were put together by discovering people on the internet and sending cheeky emails
4. I think I am turning into my Dad- I have returned to ceramics, developed an interest in National Trust Properties, have an allotment and spent the weekend watching Morris Dancers.
5. I have collected teapots since I was about 7 years old
6. I worry that I will end up as an obsessive collector, living amongst piles of rubbish
7. I still really miss John Peel

8. Two of my best friends share the same birthday as me (the ill-fated September 11th), and one of those died last year, I don't know how i'm going to cope with my birthday this year.
9. I really wish I had added my name to the press releases we sent out for exhibitions, I thought I was being good by not 'making a fuss', instead I was just selling myself short
10. I would give up any creative ability I have if it meant I could never suffer mental ill health again
