It may seem like the only time I update this at the moment is when i'm off to Central-Reservation for an art market, day of drawing or some other such treat, but I wanted to make sure you all knew about this Saturday's Checkout. It's the penultimate one and has exciting things happening at it like- SNAP print studios running some screen printing workshops, Tom Cops taking portraits and yummy food, cakes and coffee all day. Come along between 12-5pm and don't forget to pop upstairs to visit the new exhibition that's running there.
Talking of exhibitions, i'm currently in this show which has been running as part of the Fringe Arts Festival in Bath. Here Today, Gone Tomorrow runs until Sunday in two of the units at Milsom Place, just next to Jamie Oliver's restaurant. I'm invigilating on Sunday from 11am so if you do pop along then make sure you say hello to me- i've met some great people from invigilating whilst i've been there.

Checking it out again
I'm going to be returning to Central-Reservation next Sunday for the second Checkout art market, this time there's going to be music from my favourite Banjo heart throbs My Two Toms. I think i'm going to be bringing along some of my golden creatures this time- maybe the great Bristol public are ready for them now...
ps- you really should pop over to Bjorn Rune Lie's blog and take a look at the cover art he's just completed for My Two Tom's, pretty dreamy stuff.

Ch ch checkout CHECKOUT

Artists and makers in the Bristol/South West area should check out this new project that has been set up by one of my very best friends (and some other great people too I should add). Checkout is going to be a monthly art market, held on the 2nd Sunday of each of the four months that Central-Reservation (more on that in another post) will be open for. They are currently taking submissions for spaces at the first one, and tables are only £10! Contact: Lucy at Central-Reservation with 3 low res images of your work to apply for a pitch.
