My partner in crime and I have been plotting an exhibition that's going to take place at the end of next month. Here's how things came into being:
We’d booked the gallery space with the intention of putting on a group show and whilst trying to find inspiration for exactly what to do Claire discovered nearly a full deck of cards scattered across the pavement one day… she thought, that’s odd, it’s like fifty two card pick up ! Upon telling Camilla about this odd occurrence they concluded it must in fact be a sign! Fifty-two is what we have to do with the space! So we have selected fifty two artists/designers/makers whose work we adore and we want to get them all together into one room for what we hope will be an incredible exhibition!
The exhibition is going to be taking place between March 28th-April 3rd 2010 (yes we are cutting this organising pretty fine!) and it’s going to be at Room 212 (aka Bristol's smallest art gallery!) in Bristol, UK.
You might remember that Claire and I first showed our work in Room 212 last year, so it's nice that we've got the chance to revisit the space and do something different with it. It's also a great chance for us to show work by some of our favourite artists, and we've been very excited about who some of those people are going to be. I think we still need to round up a few more people, so keep your eyes peeled for updates from us both. Sadly some artists we asked to take part aren't going to be able to, we've cut it really close with the timing for people from overseas, but there's still going to be some amazing talent and I can't wait to see it all come together.
